Hi Jerry!
I'm pretty new to this Geneology thing, too.
I do have some info on Carmacks that you may or may not have. Here are a
couple: the first is actually the Gendex site, but I have renamed it for my
own purposes in my links-so please feel free to rename on your favorites.
There is A LOT of info here.
I have found that the easiest way to trace this on the computer is to begin
with a name and to keep clicking on mother or father on up. It can be
confusing but stick with it. I am not the author of that submission.
Most of the CArmacks listed are my own ancestors beginning with Cornelius
Carmack b.1681. Cornelius and his children are listed in various first family
books at the LDS History Center. They originated in VA and migrated (my line,
anyway) from there to TENN and KY

My grandmother was Maude Carmack Rentschler, daughter of Jim Carmack and
Martha Victoria Flannery. We have a lot of cousins!!! Please contact me if
you are of this particular line.
