Have you tried looking up the obit write-up in Grand Prairie newspaper dated on or about
10 June 2003?
Is Lewter the maiden name of Elizabeth? Look up her Surname of parents especially if you
know she was born Decatur,Morgan County, Alabama.
Did she marry a Carmack
What city do you live in? Is there a history commission there with files--browse with
whatever info you have.
Likewise is there any kin at all living with whom you can get more facts?
Also have you tried in white telephone pages on internet of children, especially the
males. I assume
they are Carmacks--James Edward, Phil I would start with Grand Prairie.
It's a puzzle I know. I have been thru it but collecting bits and pieces you will
eventually be able to put it all together. And your own library, genealogy section is a
good place to browse.

Subject: [CARMACK] Looking for a Carmack family
Dear List Members,
I joined this list in the hope that someone would be able to provide some information on a
Carmack family that has given me no small amount of problems.
Elizabeth Lewter (born 14 Dec. 1917. Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama; died 10 June 2003,
Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas) married (?) Carmack. No date of marriage nor any info
on him, not even his first name.
They had the following children: James Edward, Phil and Sherry. No additional info on
either of these three children.
I would like to find out the husbands first name, when and where he was born and died.
Where they are buried. A date and place of marriage would be nice. Also, any additional
info on their children and following generations.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
John
