Mack D. Carmack
March 20,1928-April 28,2002
Mack Dixon Carmack, 74, of Riverbank Ca. died of natural causes Sunday at Memorial Medical
Center, Modesto.
Mr. Carmack was a native of Paris, Ark. He lived in Riverbank since 1959. He was a truck
driver for 54 years and first drove for Permenter Trucking, then for B and B Trucking in
Salida for many years.
He was a member of Church of Christ of Oakdale. He served in the Army from 1952-54.
He is survived by his wife, June Fay Carmack of Riverbank; children, Dixie Johnson and
Steven Carmack, both of Riverbank, and Greg Carmack of Rochester, Minn.; brothers, Merl
Carmack of Fort Worth, Texas and Emit Carmack of Grants Pass, Ore; sisters, Reba Harvey of
Sealy, Texas, and Ruth Hart of Lubbock, Texas; and sever grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 10;30 a.m. Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto. Burial
will be a Burwood Cemetery, Escalon. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the
chapel.
