William Carmack married Pencey Kent, Craven County, N C, 1809
daughter: Pency Kent Carmack married a Whitcomb
I'm not sure if it is the right handle but Dennis29874(a)yahoo.com is also
searching info
on Carmack/Whitman line
Daughter Pencey who married Whitcomb is buried in cemetary in Alabama in
same town where to this day there is a grocery store by the name of
Carmack. Legend says land for cemetary was donated by
Furnifold or Furney Carmack.

The name Pency jumped out at me, when looking over your message. I
was just looking over some of my information recently, and remember
coming across the name Pency. We have Carmacks in my family. They
are integrated by marriage several different times, with other
family surnames, of mine as well, such as: Whitman, Bailey, etc..
Our Carmacks lived in Russell County, Lee county, and Coffee County,
Alabama (Elba/Pine Level) area. Which is referred to as "down home".
If this Pency is one in the same, I will let you know. I need to go
back over my notes.
