I have been searching for Furney Carmack for years, if it is the same
one. I believe
Permelia was his first wife and he married again (I assume Permelia
passed away?) and with both wives he had 19 children. I have a copy of a
letter written by his 18th male child substantiating that William and
Pency were Furney's parents.
Furney and Pency moved on to Alabama through Georgia, again it is not
substantiated.

Good for you, Hubert! Keep delving!! I have hardly even looked at my
genealogy since last May. One of these days my life is going to slow
down and I'm going to get back into it.

Alabama 1850 census has Furney and Parmelia Carmack listed as being
born in North
Carolina. At the time Furney was 45 making a birth date of
1805. Parmelia was 34 making a birth date of 1816. Any possible
information would be most appreciated.
