NAMES are spelled as they appear in the record. Those names that I have
indicated were crossed out were sometimes difficult to read because of the
line through the name, and I used the 1860 census in some instances to
double check those that were in question.
NOTE: It is important to remember that this is not a list of men who
volunteered. That will come later.
