Thank you, Jim, for the "food for thought" and I agree that may be the
case with our William. I am not very knowledable about how the DAR
works. I just read and have heard that there must be substantiation
furnished for the service. The DAR Hqs. in Washington DC is where the
records are kept, but I don't know how to obtain them and I will never
be able to go in person. I have intended to start with the local
chapter but have never found the time.
