J. A. CARMACK DEAD
J. A. CARMACK, familiarly known as "Uncle Jesse, " left his home Monday
morning apparently sound and well. He went over to a neighbor's, Charley
STOCKTON, only about one fourth of a mile from his own home to get a plow
sharpened. He was standing talking to Charley, when he suddenly was
stricken with paralysis in the left side. He was carried to the house and
Charley STOCKTON telephoned for Albert CARMACK, when he came they telephoned
for Dr. STEBBINS. When the Doctor arrived he at once realized it was a
hopeless case. Mr. CARMACK leaves a host of sorrowful relatives and friends
to mourn his untimely death. The funeral services were conducted by Eld. L.
D. MONEYMAKER at the Christain Church, of which Bro. CARMACK was a faithful
and devoted member, on Tuesday evening. A large crowd was in attendance to
pay their respects to the deceased.
An obituary notice will appear in next week's issue of the NEWS.
