Hi Agnes,
Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, what you stated below is indeed
my line of Carmacks... (Samuel B.). I found him on the 1840 Edgecombe
County, NC census with his wife and another male in his household. He is
living just a few households from his Mother-in-law's household on this
census........this is as far back as I have been able to find him........and
of course, I have not found a set of parents for him, as yet...........but we
continue to search......hoping that someday, we find someone to attach him
to. Thanks for your help.

Hi Marsha once again,
I think we have two families, Norm is correct this one is son of George
Washington & Elizabeth Yates, your line Samuel B. first place I find Samuel
is in Coffee County TN 1850, Hardeman TN 1860 per 1860 census Samuel's son
John W. was 14 years old. In 1870 census initials of J. O. Carmack in
Gibson County, John O. sells 208 1/2 acres of land belonging to the tract
of the ???Carmack Dist. # 8 in book Y page 699 18 Aug. 1871, Samuel
Carmack's old tract. It would be nice to find the parents of George
Washington above and Samuel as I have not been able to locate parents of
either.
