HI Karen
I am Cathy Carmack Worsham. I also seen the e-bay auction. My husband bid
on
it. I know that William Carmack who was blind lived and died in Lee County
Va
and he was my ggggreat grandfather. And I believe that this D C Carmack
may
be a decedant of him or his brother. I am still looking. I hope I get it.
I
collect anything about the family. Especially if it comes from Va.Ky. If
someone finds D C Carmack please let me know,
Cathy Carmack Worsham

Anyone know who D C Carmack was?
At auction is a very nice vintage promissory note of D.C. Carmack of
Washington County, town of Glade Spring Virginia. Dated June 15, 1874.
Carmack
promises to pay William F. Collins $15.00 and to waive all homestead
exemption
to the above claim. A very early Glade Spring paper with a nice
engraving.
This came from an Abingdon Virginia estate and sold at no reserve.
