Suit for Divorce -- Mrs. Kate CARMACK, wife of Geo. W. CARMACK, the

grounds.are desertion and infidelity.without cause or provocation
deserted plaintiff last April and that he has been guilty of infidelity
with a certain Mrs. SAFTIG, of Seattle, Washington, at Seattle, San

alleges that the parties to the action were married in the Dominion of
Canada in 1886 and the issue of the married is 1 daughter, Graffey

Virginia, in 1831 and upon coming to California in 1855 engaged in wagon
freighting from Marysville to the mines. Later he lived in San Luis
Obispo county, in the Santa Rosa valley, near Cambria, where he lived for
about 21 years, engaged in farming and stock-raising. In 1884 he settled
on the Los Muertos, near Paicines, being one of the first settlers in
that section. He was married in 1869 to Miss Hannah R. CARMACK, sister of
Geo. W. CARMACK, the Klondike gold discoverer.for some time past from an
affection of the heart.The funeral took place last Sunday afternoon from
