Marsha,
You are right, a lot of if's. Your logic is sound though, if a descendant
of Cornelius does not match with a descendant of Dennis, then Dennis and
Cornelius are not related. As for me, I highly suspect that I am in the
Cornelius line. My DNA test results do not match yours at all so IF mine
match Corneilius then we can say that Frederick & Samuel are not related to
Cornelius.
What we need is more participants from the Cornelius line to help out. One
data point is not good enough. I need to verify that I match the Cornelius
line and that can only be done by comparing test results with others who are
proven to be in the Cornelius line.

Subject: [CARMACK] DNA...
Dale,
Am I understanding this right????????? This is a lot of "ifs".........
IF William is indeed the father of Frederick and if William does go back to
Dennis, as suspected, and since you (Dale) are of the Cornelius
line........and
it has always been suspected that Dennis and Cornelius were
brothers.............if you (Dale) indeed go back to Cornelius & we go back
to Dennis, then our
DNA should have matched perfectly, right?
But they didn't. So, either we don't go back to Dennis OR Dennis and
Cornelius were not brothers, as has always been suspected.
Am I understand this right?????
It will be exciting when the results of the others tested comes in.
And when more of our Carmack men get tested..........keep us posted.
