Hey Melinda,
I'm in Georgia also, down in the sw corner.
This is what we got from my husband's Aunt Ola Carmack Weaver. His mother's
sister. (they both have passed away) Their grandfather was GW Carmack Jr. Their father
George
Garvin Carmack. Auntie was very close to her Aunt Cleo Carmack.

Aunt Cleo told my sister-in-law that her mother (Delia)
died giving birth to her baby sister. (Effie ?)
All the GW Jr. children were born at Sand Mtn. near Red Bay AL, except for Claude, Cleo
and Ed, they were born in Fulton, MS.
This is from a genealogy list that Auntie had written down.
As far as we know it is correct. If you know of any errors, please let me know.
You could be right on the Cordelia, I've checked some using that name but not for a
while. Ancestry has added more and more, so need to try running that name again.
If you have anything we don't, would love to have it, including your line. Gloria
