Pat, I love the way you worded the subject line. Thanks for the kudos,
but there are other people who have helped too. Most recently was Judy
Carmack French who gave us evidence for a birth year of 1766 for my
William Carmack and there have been others.

I am not sure I know what you are referring to. If you are referring to
the Monument that was dedicated last year on the 4th of July to honor
Rev. War Soldiers of WCVA, I can send you the posting made by Cheryl
LeSuer with list of soldiers and details about the ceremony. If you are
speaking of the DAR ceremony in 1936 honoring John and William Carmack
in WCVA I can send you that also. I think this last is the one you want
because it took place in 1936 on my William's homestead (d. 1849) which
was still in posession of his descendants and still is to this day.
Pictures of the DAR monument give death as 1851 which is when the other
William of Lee County died. I can discuss this more with you off the
mailing list. If you want both just say the word.
