Wow, is there a geneaology society near where you live? If so I suggest
you join it. There is usually one with a library that has a geneaology
section. (You did not mention where you live.)
The rule of thumb is to start with those living. Find out as much info as
you can.
Have your husband reach back with any info he can remember. Were the
sisters
born in St Louis too as well as the brothers? Are any of them living?
Also you can start by getting Lloyd's birth certificate. On it should be
listed
his mother and father.
Then if there is a Mormon Church library near you on Social Security list
you can usually find his death. They are very helpful too.
My deceased husband's name was Lloyd too. Anyway do you have e-mail
addresses of Carmack Club? Write me back if you don't.

Starting a search on my husband's family. However, do not have a
lot
to get started with.
Lloyd Elsworth Carmack was born in St. Louis, MO. He had 2
brothers, Billy and Raymond and I believe there was a sister or two.
Lloyd was born September 20, 1911 and died in Shreveport, LA June
1979. I believe his mother's maiden name was Goldman (not sure of
the spelling).
You can e-mail me directly at Karen.Carmack(a)verizon.net.
Thanks.....
