KIm...let me start over....the spelling I am looking for is the same as
yours..."WIEDEMANN" This is my daughter in law's family on her
mother's side. Her mother was born in ILLINOIS....and her grandmother
was also born in ILLINOIS...but her great grandmother is the WIEDEMANN
that was born in Germany and they immgrated to the states and ended up
in Illinois. I will get some names/dates from my daughter in law, Erin
Kathleen, and send it to you. Maybe there is a collection....hope so,
she hasn't had any luck on that side of the family.
My "Black" line is beginning in 1790 with Ann Black who married Jessie Carmack.
I descend from her and it is said that she is at least half Indian...I did run across an
article that mentioned that her father, John Black was a chief....I don't think so,
but who knows for sure right now. My Carmack line marries into the Gore line too, which is
my mother. We are from Tennessee.

Illinois. Everyone else stayed behind.

Andrew Johnson, married a Black from there. Father=Joseph M.; Mother=Rachel
Crame/Crain; William, Martha C.; Amos; Robert Joseph; Nelson; Cora; Alonzo;
Ida Mae; Elizabeth Pearl; Thomas & Amos' daughter Belda.

My daughter in law has Widermann in her family. It is her grandmother's last
name. Around 1900 they came from Germany and went to Illinois. Could this be
your family too in that state? Kathy
