One Of County's Oldest Citizens Passes Tuesday
Mrs. Susan Carmack Spicer, 96, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her son, Lewis
Spicer, 112 Second Street, Ravenna, after a long illness. She was a native of Pulaski
County and a member of the Ravenna Church of God.
Other survivors are a. son, Clarence Spicer, Hamilton, Ohio: four daughters, Mrs. Lillie
Durbin and Mrs. Carrie Richardson, Ravenna; Mrs. Grace Ruhl, Hamilton, Ohio and Mrs.
Florence Whitener, South Irvine; three stepsons, Robert Spicer. Beattyville; Wesley
Spicier, College Hill, and Walker Spicer, Iron River, Mich.; 34 grand- and a number of
great- and great- great-grand children.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Ravenna Church of God by the
Rev. Ottis Riggs. Burial will be in the West Irvine Cemetery. Grandsons will be bearers:
William (Bud] Spicer, Chester Spicer Jr.. Charles Spicer. Wayne Spicer, Arthur Spicer and
Harold Spicer,
Honorary bearers will be Logan Whitener, Chester Little, Carl Spicer. Johnny Spicer.
Donald Spicer and Ben Spicer.
The body is at the Lewis Funeral Home.
