Glad that I could be of help. I usually get more information from the list than I am able
to contribute.
As for the Margaret E. Myers, it appears to be a by-line to the article. I believe that
this article was published in either the 1960s or 1970s. Therefore, I am guessing that
the Margaret Elizabeth listed would not have been living. The rest of my family still
live in Frederick, MD, I live in Baltimore, MD, I will be heading up there in a couple of
weeks for a visit and I will see what I can find out at the Historical Society which is
where I found what I posted.

Thank you Le Anna,
Actually, I didn't have any of that info in my stuff, but do now. I'm thinking the
'Margaret E. Myers' mentioned here would be the daughter of Edward Augustus b.
1815, don't you reckon?
Thanks again,
Norm

I believe that I might have the answer to your question about the Carmack >Bible. I
have a copy of a page from the Western Maryland Genealogy >document. I do not have the
volume number or the year, but it is page 138 >in the volume. Information on the page
reads as follows:
Carmack Bible
Margaret E. Myers
This Bible with no bibliographic data belongs to Mr. Leslie B. Wachter of
>Walkersville, Frederick Co., MD
Edward Carmack, b. 5 April 1815 m. Amelia Gilbert, b. 11 March >1817. Children: 1.
Susan Elizabeth, b. 18 June 1838. 2. Valentine >Schirock, b. 15 Dec. 1839. 3. James
Hamilton, b. 2 Nov. 1841. 4. Peter >Light Wilson, b. 11 Sept. 1843. 5. Edward Augustus,
b. 5 Oct. 1845. 6. >Catherine Ellen, b. 21 Jan. 1848. 7. Caroline Emma, b. 2 July 1849.
8. >Margaret Elizabeth, b. 17 Oct. 1851. 9. Sarah Lucila, b. 13 June 1854.
Paul Carmack d. 20 Aug. 1877, age 91y.
Stockton Carmack and Mary Catherine Carmack [mentioned without data].
The Leslie B. Wachter that is mentioned should be Leslie D. Wachter who is >my
grandfather. My grandmother was a Carmack, Margaret Elizabeth (not the >one mentioned).
When I found this information at the Frederick County, MD >Historical Society, I
immediately contacted my father who is Leslie E. and >his brother and sisters to see
who in the family has the bible. None of >them even knew a bible existed, so I am not
sure who has it. I have no >clue who Margaret E. Myers is. My Carmack line is as
follows:
Margaret E. Carmack m. Leslie D. Wachter
Harry Edward Carmack m. Nellie J. Mercer
Valentine Schirock m. Mary C. Heffner
Edward Augustus m. Amelia Gilbert
Paul Carmack m. Eva Catherine Stimmel
John Carmack m. Sarah C. Wolfe
William Carmack m. Jane McDaniel
Cornelius Carmack m. Guin (Gwin) Corem
Sorry for the long post.
