Will- Recorded May 14, 1816, Davidson County Wills & Invoices, Vol. 6, Part
2, 1805 to 1816, Page 458.
In the name of God Amen, I AQUILLA CARMACK of Davidson County of the state
of Tennessee, being weak of body but perfect of memory, calling to mind the
mortality of my body, knowing that it is appointed for all once to die, I do
first of all recommend my body to the ground to be decently buried at the
discretion of exec-utors, and my soul to God who gave it, and as for all the
worldy goods as it has been please God to bless me with I leave in the
manner and form following, Viz.
First of all my just debts is to be paid and all that remains I leave to my
wife during her life or widowhood to have the full management of all my
Estate, Real and Personal. Then to be equally divided amongst my three sons;
Daniel (White); William (Henry); and Samuel (Williams) Carmack, and I leave
Oliver Williams of Williamson and Robert Buly of Davidson County to execute
this my last will and testament declaring all former wills to be void and
this I witnes as my last will to this day August fifteenth Anno Domino one
thousand eight hundred and seven.
