Subject: [CARMACK] Cornelius Carmack of Cecil Co, MD
The following is from a book called "The Maryland Gazette 1727-1761
Genealogical and Historical Abstracts" by Karen Maurer Green, 1989:
"Tuesday, 8 July 1746, No. 63
Edmund Hough, near Snow Hill in Worcester County, has a message for Robert
Allbrook concerning a considerable estate left to him in England. In about
1718, Allbrook became a servant to Mr. Butterworth; in 1721 a servant to
Robert Clark; in 1723 he hired himself to George Rignon. All these lived
about Baltimore. In 1728 he hired himself to Cornelius Carmack, of Cecil
County, near Principio Iron Works, for 4 years and in August of 1730 was
still with Carmack and asked his letters to be sent to him in care of James
Campbell at the same place. If Allbrook is still living, he should apply to
Hough."
