My Carmacks are from Virginia/Kentucky. I would like to know if you or
anyone else has a Jane Carmack in their records that married John
Thompson
Dean(e). She's the mother of Abner Holton & David H. Dean(e).
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=slimkim is my tree.

I do not know if you were aware of the tornado that ripped through
Mena, AR
a month or so ago. Near Mena is Acorn, AR where the Carmack forefather,
Berry Littleton Carmack, homesteaded. I placed my Carmack genealogy
records
in form of notebook at the Mena library for future generations but as
yet do
not know if they were damaged in the tornado as part of the library roof
was
ripped off.Â
In the meantime life goes on for the Carmacks. A Carmack of Oden AR
married
this past weekend which wedding I attended and next month my oldest
grandson
is to be married in Philadelphia.  Babies are being born and sadly
there
are those who have died. It is important to keep up with it all.
This is for general information.

It would be great to have one of the males from J.P’s line to do this
to
back-up my DNA results.

FTDNA is doing a summer special for a 37 marker test with a mt DNA test
for
less than the usual project price of a 37 marker test. It's a really
good
deal. Usually our project works with men who have already been tested,
but
there may be exceptions. For instance, I just e-mailed the Hennessey
interested in our project about this offer. Some of you will probably
want
to take advantage of this offer to get some of your lines tested,
whether
you suspect that they are Beaty-Byrnes lines or not.

Subject: Unparalleled 50% Promotional Discount
Dear Family Tree DNA Group Administrator,
Last summer we offered a pricing special that was the most successful
offering of its kind in our company’s history.
Many project administrators strongly supported our recruitment efforts
and
both their projects and our database grew significantly.
This year we will offer an early summer special with an unparalleled
promotional discount.
Offer summary:
Y-DNA37+mtDNA for $119. (The regular project price is
$248 ,
a reduction of more than 50%!!)
The promotion will begin on June 9, 2009 and will end on
June 24, 2009
Kits ordered in this sale must be paid for by June 30,
2009
This is your new members opportunity to skip past the Y-DNA12 and
Y-DNA25
tests and get the best Y-DNA Genealogical test on the market in
addition to
an mtDNA test for an extremely reduced price!
I should also mention that according to one of our competitors method of
counting markers our 37-marker test could also be called a 41-marker
test as
we do test and report markers 464e, 464f, 464g, and DYS19b. Though we
test
them, it is very rare that individuals have results for these markers.
Therefore, by our conservative counting method, our competitor's
33-marker
test is actually a 29-marker test. We mention this to make sure that you
understand the difference between these tests and are able to compare
apples
to apples.
So... I hope that with this promotion your project can gain many new
members.
As always, that you for your continued support.
