This is what I know for sure:
Tom Heck is my g -grandfather and was married to Mattie Maybelle Wallace, a Choctaw
original enrollee (Choctaw Nation Official website). His son RL (Dutch) Heck is my
grandfather and Hayward Heck (now deceased also) is my dad.
This would make John Allen Carmack, if I have the right one, my g-uncle as he was the
brother-in-law to Tom Heck.

My progenitor was Mary Frances "Molly" Heck, born in or near Tazewell, TN and
married to Hilton Lankford. Newspaper clippings of an obituary for Lula Ann Heck Carmack
"one of 7 children in the large Heck family in Coal County" says she was born in
Tazewell, TN. May 31, 1877. Survivors listed for Lula Heck Carmack were Nathaniel, Grover,
Tom, Frank and Adam Heck, all of Centrahoma. .

I would sincerely appreciate any follow up concerning this line of Heck's and to find
out if there is Cherokee in this line. My family's oral histroy says so but I
haven't found any firm evidence yet.
Thank-You,
