Dear Carmack Cousins,
This morning we were waiting for a phone call and I should have checked my
spelling more closely.
Now, I would like to personally thank Dale for all of his hard work in
joining the Carmack on the internet, Dale you are doing a wonderful job,
thanks.
Carmack research stated in the 1950's with P. H. Carmack, picture in one of
the Carmack Cousins, P. H. was joined by other Cousins, Robert Stanley
Carmack in Indiana originally from Overton County, William Carmack in
Nashville, TN, Josephine Carmack and her husband, when I got into the
researched all had passed on with the exception of Josephine, she was
living in Huntsville, Ala. at that time, living in Chatta., TN. it was easy
for me to run down have lunch with Josephine and get back to Chatta., we
had several nice visits during that time, I only visited with her one time
after she moved back to Bristol, Va. before her death, we can all be
greatful to her for keeping all the research done by all of these together.
Josephine and her husband had researched the Bristol area she knew that
area well. When we started Cousins when I would find a new family through
research, family reunions, telephone calls and etc. I would send her this
new family to add to her books. Other Carmacks such as Charles Carmack of
Michigan did extensive research, I only wish he could had lived to see the
research being done today, as when we would get together for a reunion he
would be the only one from his family William represented, now several are
working on this line, Charles would have been thrilled to meet all of you.
Sue Thompson, I think one of our greatest thrills was getting to see the
Jonathan Thomas & Jane Carmack home in Athens, TN. As I have traveled,
researched and meet so many Carmacks all over the U.S., Egypt, & Canada I
can only say what a thrill it is to have such wonderful cousins.
Thanks, Agnes Jones
