I have had several questions ask me, so I will just put all the
answers in one e-mail.
To Maxine
I did not know of the so called "found records" of Bledsoe county. I
wish I had of, I would of checked. I ran out of time and did not even
check if there were any new records there. I have stated before that
there are Family History Center branch librarys in all states.
Anyone can use them, and they can call Salt Lake and see if any
new records have been copied. If anyone needs an address to
one, I would be happy to send it.
I hope other people don't mind me answering this way. I feel we
need to know what others on this line are doing, and share when
we find out new information.
Millie I do have the early court records you were asking about.
You said your Issac son of Cornelius and Lettice was born Jul
1787. The information that was passed on to me was he was born
1790 and died 2 Sep 1840. I would like to get these dates
corrected so all of us can get it corrected. it seems we each have a
little information that the other one doesn't have and we need to
bring it together

First would you send me your address, I need to send you some
money for all the information you so generously sent to me.
Maxine said there is a book called "Lamb and Allied Families"
published 1996 and in it, it states the Elizabeth Carmack who
married Alexander Lamb is the daughter of Cornelius Carmack and
Lettice. Elizabeth was born 17 Dec 1779 in Va and died in Bledsoe
Co., Tn about 1860.
All the information that I have come across points to that very
same conclusion. The Lambs lived near the Carmacks in Jackson
Co (now Overton Co) in 1801-03 on the land records. They moved
to Bledsoe about the time John Carmack came to Bledsoe. I feel
that John came with the Lambs. Elizabeth would of been his niece.
I feel John Carmack was married in Washington Co. Va, because
Jesse his son was born in Va. I think he then moved with his father
to Jackson Co., Tn and then on to Bledsoe as I stated above.
Of course the big question still is, who is John's wife. She can't hid
forever. I or someone else will find her.
As I find out more I will keep everyone posted, as I hope you all will
to.
