Betty,
Any information you find on Oklahoma Carmack's has a good possiblity of being my line.
One branch of the family settled there in 1903 before Oklahoma became a state. After
that several other family members moved there. Since they all had lots of children, today
there are probably quite a large number of Carmack's there.
Also, I think that posting obituaries on the list is a great idea. Not only does it lead
you to other family members, but also tells you something about the person. In the case
of Rebecca, she is the only child of William that I knew of and I knew that because
evidently she was also interested in the family genealogy. Several years ago I had been
sent an old group sheet from another Carmack researcher, in Denver, with the information
concerning William and his wife Hattie and the sheet had been prepared by their daughter
Rebecca Carmack.
I think it's really neat when everything starts coming together. I'm going to try
to find the remaining members, now that I know where they are and try to put the rest of
that line together.
Again thank you and Ruth.
Judy

Judy,
I am surprised and pleased that the obit found a home. I have had it
nearly a year and was undecided about posting it. Ruth made me do it
when she posted one today, so thanks to Ruth, also.
