thanks for sharing the information you had on that,
I believe I have seen this reference on the Internet somewhere and it brings to mind an
article I just read about
piecing together family history. Larry Clark heads up the genealogy department at the
Valparaiso Public Library and he
was quoted as saying,
"They might be related to Pocahontas, but just because their grandmother said so
doesn't mean they are."
He encourages patrons to cross-check the information in a variety of sources. Then he
shared that there is a new
popular reliance on the Internet to do research and that this could lead to incomplete
histories and we will miss out on
a lot of resources.
I thought that was good advice and I just thought I would share some of the article.
Larry is so very dedicated to
those records down at the library, I was glad to see some coverage on his work.
