Hi Wendy, I get the emails and notices of everyone who writes down something on the
message boards. I am related to you, lol, but Im really busy right now, and can't
figure out how, I do have a website, that I have put all my families information on it
that you might like to look at. I only ask that if you do find anything that you will use,
that you at least credit me as a source. I would also like to hear about how you are
related to the Carmacks. I know that I am a desendant from where you are talking from, but
I think I am Also related to Mary "Polly" Yeary a different way. I am related to
a lot of the Yeary's and the Balls. I hope you will right back to me, and maybe tell
me about your family. If you have a website, can I look at it.
I hope I can help, I know I am really appreciative of all the help I received when I was
looking for information. I hope your search goes well

Hello,
I am new to this list, but have been researching my branch of the Carmacks
for a couple of years now. I am descended from William Carmack of Lee
County, Virginia (b. Jan. 1761 - d. Sept. 1851) through his daughter, Keziah
(Carmack) Hartsock. In a number of places, a Mary Catherine Hartsock has
been listed as William's first wife and mother of at least several of his
children, and that his second wife was Mary (Polly) Yeary Ball, widow of
John Ball. While I have found a couple of sources in relation to his second
marriage, I have never been able to find any sources for Mary Catherine
Hartsock. Would any researchers of this family line be able to point me in
the direction of sources that might prove Mary Catherine as his first wife?
(I have also tried to find if this Mary Catherine was somehow related to her
(I presume) daughter Keziah's husband, Daniel Hartsock, but have not come
across any reference to a Mary Catherine.)
Thank you,
Wendy Carver
