Dale,
This is Wanda Whitney. I'm interested in the CD for the family. You had helped me
several years back to get started on the Carmack family genealogy. (My mother-in-law was
a Carmack) My question is whether or not we've gotten more information on the Charles
Fischer Carmack line that would be in the CD and/or book.
Thanks,
Wanda

The information is documented, but it only presents possibilities about
Guien's history. Which was still interesting and new.

Karen, is the information on Guein documented? I'm a member of the DAR
under
William Carmack and his father Cornelius. I'm also a member of the
Daughter's
of the American Colonist under Cornelius Carmack's father, William Carmack
born
1716. My line is Cornelius, William, Cornelius, William, Allen, Emanuel and
my
great grandmother Florence Josephine who married my great grandfather John
Allen
Coffman.

I got mine this week also. It's much better organized and indexed than the
1st edition. Most of the section on Guein Carmack was new to me and very
interesting. I'm not sure why it states Guein died on the same day Cornelius
made his will though, unless it was supposed to read died AFTER that date.
It does a good job of debunking the idea that Christopher was Cornelius'
father (good work Dale). The different and unrelated Carmack lines are
thoroughly explored and explained. The information on my line while
sometimes incomplete was accurate.
Good job Dr. Peckham!

Just thought I'd let the group know that I received my Carmack Book order in
the mail today. It's a massive book, 1214 pages and looks to be well made,
no color print. I also purchased the CD. The CD contains a pdf version of
the book (CD contains color for those things that were in color) and there
is a gedcom file also included. I have not opened the gedcom as yet to see
what is included; my assumption is it includes all of the names in the book.
Congratulations to Dr Peckham his latest book!
It would be impossible to compare and see what's new and different. I know
there is a limited supply, but in case others did not get a letter and are
interested here are some of the highlights from his letter:

Got mine yesterday, whole lot of info new to me since I never had Book 1. Unfortunately,
it doesn't cover my line after my 2nd ggfather, JD Carmeck, only listing two of his
six children. Might send him that info for book 3. Saved the gedcom to my puter. I think
it has nearly 30k names and I think you are right Dale about all the names in the book,
maybe more. Looks like I'll be reading this for a long time.
