If John came to America in 1640, and say he was about 21 years old, that
would have made him about 60 when he fathered Cornelius I. That's assuming
Cornelius was actually born in 1681...

Not sure about that as I never subscribed to the Christopher theory as
Cornelius' father. But this reference to a John Carmack, and the other
Cornelius Micormack living in St Mary's Co, MD in 1661 (20 years old) are
more plausible connections, just no proof.
