I congratulate you on your efforts. There is so much info out there anymore that one has
to be selective in what one purchases.
I am at an age where "I am letting go" and think twice before buying anything
more.
I like my computer and it was not available to the common person costwise when I did
Carmack research when my husband died in 1989. I continued where he left off. It was
hunt-and-peck and for 10 years I diligently kept on with it. And so many people fed me
info. I did much travelling after he died so was able to get to many libraries of the area
where the our Carmacks migrated through and records were left behind to examine. Enjoyed
every minute of it.
But it is looking like it is time to update the records but so far have not found any
volunteers.--

Thank you so much. I consider
myself almost computer illiterate so I'm not
the person to be advising people how to Search the
Computer. My friend just
downloaded Kindle on her Ipad and her computer. She
purchased the book and
it is on both for reading at home or on the go. Isn't
this technology
fabulous? I know many would like to purchase a printed
copy of the book,
but this was my way of getting it published and hopefully,
people to read
it. I hope you enjoy the book and please send feedback
to me and to
Amazon.com.

Patricia, you didn't mention this so I will. If you do not
have a Kindle,
you can download a program for your computer or an app for
your smartphone
from
Amazon.com. If you go to Patricia's book site, you'll
see a link to the
right. Doesn't take long to download and install. Did it for
my PC and
Android cell phone and I previewed the book on the phone.
Looks to be an
interesting book, will order shortly. Good work Patricia.

I recently sent a message concerning my book that has been
posted on
Amazon.com/Kindle. It occurred to me that some of you
might like to know
what line of Carmacks are my ancestors. I descend from
William Carmack,
1761-1851, Levi Carmack/Elizabeth Peters, Enoch
Carmack/Sarah "Sallie"
Campbell, Amanda Carmack/William Floyd Rowlett, Mollie
Elizabeth
Rowlett/Garrett Hobert Estep. I am the youngest
daughter of the last couple
listed. This covers the maternal ancestors.
My paternal ancestors begin with Samuel Estep/Susannah
Adams, Jacob
Estep/Nancy Moore, William M. Estep/Elizabeth Eastridge,
Samuel
Estep/Matilda Nevils, Garrett Hobert Estep/Mollie Elizabeth
Rowlett.
My great grandmother, Sarah "Sallie" Campbell was the
daughter of James
Campbell/Martha Nevils. After the disappearance and
death of Sarah's
husband, Enoch Carmack, Sarah married John H. Brooks.
They had ten children
together. My grandmother, Matilda Nevils was the
daughter of George
Washington Nevils/Mary Sutton.
If you are interested in ordering my book from Kindle, the
above information
should give you a brief outline of the people who appear in
my book, ROOM AT
THE FOOT OF THE BED. I believe you will find this a
delightful book to have
among your family history findings. Also, you will
find short stories
regarding my immediate family---there were 13 siblings, so
they provide a
lot of reading. Please buy my book and ENJOY.
Questions are welcome.
