My name is William L Carmack age 58. My grandfather was Leonard Carmack from the St. Louis area. My sister-in-law Karen Carmack has did some geneology work and told me that Lewis Carmack was a great-great granddaddy of mine. I think maybe you have me information before on the Carmack Clan. I was always curious if George Carmack of Klondike fame was from this same family group. I understand they named a city in Canada after him. Thanks.

Levi 1791 My lines from Levi is through 2 of his Sons
Issac 1816 ------- Brothers----- Jacob 1828
Mary Ann Bishop --- 1st Cousin ---- Levi 1859
Emma Baker -------- 2nd Cousin--- Elihu 1887
Sarah " Spencer---- 3rd Cousin--- Ralph 1923
Marie Spencer ----- 4th Cousin--- Tony 1946
Tony 1946------- 5th Cousin-- My Children
I'm a 4th Cousin to my Mother & a 5th Cousin to my Children.
I was born out of Wedlock with the Last Name of Spencer & Adopted in 1948 By
the Root Family in Middletown Ohio.
I have been working on Issac Jacob line for years. I have also done a
little on John 1827 & Abraham1826 while they were in Owsley County Ky.
We believe John died after being in 1 census because his Wife Libbie Burns
was married to a Barrett in the Next Owsley Census.I tend to believe John was
burried on Right Fork of Upper Buffalo Ck Owsley County Ky because he had
several land Grants there before he disapeared.
Tony
Tony I descend from Abe and Alcey. So you were brought up in Middletown?
Butler Co right? On my fathers side we hail from nearby there in warren Co
Ohio but a lot of family were in Middletown. The Taylors, Bells,Stanifers
etc... I come from Abes daughter Martha Susan Carmack who married Franklin P
Reid. Their daughter Jenette Reid married Daniel Stanifer and they moved
from Ky into Ohio. Jenette and Daniles son James Shelton Stanifer married
Mildred Taylor. These familiers were mostly in Franklin but some in Lemon,
and the Bells were in Middletown for certain. Any of these names ring a bell
with you? Hope your having a wonderful weekend. Kim

Subject: [CARMACK] Lineage Question
It's been a while since we did a roll call. For anyone new this just means
submitting a list of how you connect to the Carmack Line. I'd like to see
how many list subscribers connect to Cornelius (b 1681), or cannot connect
to Cornelius. Lets keep this simple. Here is my lineage:
Cornelius m. Guein (Gwin)
William m. Jane McDaniel;
Cornelius m. Margery Jane Evans;
John m. ?
Jesse Ann m. Mary Ann Boyd
Marquess (Mark) m. Amanda Dearmond
Earl Carmack m. Lora Cardin
Cardin Carmack m. Wanda Dennis

My line does not connect to Cornelius.........I wish. From the results of
DNA testing, we have connected to two Carmack families, Furney Carmack, 1810
NC and Fredrick Carmack, 1814 NC........but as of yet, we aren't exactly sure
how we connect........but we have new cousins.
