His listers
I was checking through FamilySearch for more details concerning the marriage
of Christopher CARL(E)TON and Jane ALLON and came across two entries with
the correct dates and place. But when I look at them, there are two
different surnames for the bride both different from the known spelling
which from other evidence is probably more correct.
Leaving aside the question of the surnames as this could be differences in
reading original documents, could anyone help me concerning the actual
entries which I have included below. Looking at the last (three) lines can
anyone tell me which one is probably a copy of the actual church marriage
register - which one has been entered as part of someone's family tree -
which one has been entered as part of ???????
