Ann: I am a decendent from William Carlton of King & Queen County, VA who
died there around 1812. His son Daniel moved to Orange Co, NC & had a son
Henry Trice Carlton. I have no information on them but may be your
family.

Hi Diane,
I have started a CARLTON DNA project with Family DNA. I am trying to
organize the Surname back to Virginia and New England. Anyone that would
like any information can contact me. My family line is from Thomas or
Lewis
Carlton of Albemarle Co., VA whose ancestors were probably from King &
Queen
Co., VA.
One of their descendants - my line - served in War of 1812 with North
Carolina Militia - Lewis Carlton. His son, Alfred Carlton, served in the
Indian Wars from Tennessee in the 1830's, and his son(as did many other
sons
serve in the C.W.), George W. Carlton served with Hood's Texas Brigade in
the Civil War. I have documents on all.
Best Wishes to everyone for the New Year....
Ann Carlton Oppenheimer

Hi list,
Diane list admin here - have any of you made any connections with your
family tree since I last wrote to you all?
Any famous connections - or unfamous or anything like that?
I am looking forward to hearing from any of you to hear what you have all
been up to lately.
All for now.
