F.M. was my great grandfather. The town of Carlton was named for him. His
son, Benjamin Hardy Carlton, my grandfather.

that her grandfather (my great grfather) told her our Carlton family was

I have copies of the "Central Texas History & Biographies" Vol 1 and 2.

you know, Dr. Carlton has a very nice article about him and his
family.
I am doing further research to see if the possibility exists.
