Hello, Carlsons,
My great grandfather was Johannes Carlsson born 24 September 1854 in Furuby, Sweden and
died 10 December 1915 in Seattle, WA. He married Carolina Jonasdotter 29 December 1882 in
Urasla, Sweden. She was the daughter of Jonas Eliasson and Anna Magnidotter. Carolina
was born 31 January 1855 in Urasla, Sweden and died 24 July 1919 in Seattle.
Johannes was the son of Carl Magnus Johansson who was born 07 February 1824 and Martha
Christina Nilsotter born 9 February 1824 in Furuby.
Their children (his siblings were:)
Nils Johan b. 21 February 1850 who left Sweden for Germany in 1872.
Johanna Maria b. 22 March 1852 left for America in 1893 as a 41 year old spinster.
Johannes (my g-grandfather) left for America in 1879 and returned to Sweden to marry
Carolina. They left for America with Carl Arvid and my grandmother, Anna Clara Elizabeth
Carlsson on 1 May 1885.
Sara Lovisa b. 04 March 1857
Lena Stina b. 19 August 1859 and was in America by 7 May 1881.
Frans (Frank) August b. 31 December 1861 left for America 17 November 1886 and lived with
his brother Johannes (John) in Seattle during the 1900 Census.
Emma Gustava b. 21 April 1864 and left for America 24 April 1885.
Ida Charlotta b. 22 February 1870 in Furuby. Last known to be in Voxjo, Sweden in 1886.
I have only learned what happened to John and Frank Carlson and would love to find out
what happened to my other Carlsons when they arrived in America.
Take care,
Sidney Rasmussen
