Hi Karen,
Thnaks for your answer.
I got some help on the ship list board to look up on immigration and got a list of
possible candidates arriving NY 1888 /- 1 year. Since I know his exact date and year of
departure I have one canidate left:
A Carlson 29 May 1888 abt 1870 Liverpool, England and Queenstown, Ireland Swedish
Wyoming.
I searched the Ancestry New York Passenger Lists 1820 - 1957 with the name Axel Carlson
born 1871 /- 1 year arrived 1888 and found 1 person.
Is it possible to check this record for me?
Searching the 1900 Census with the same info gave me 2 persons in the state of Washington.
Confusing!
There is no brother to Carl by the name Isak and I can not find any link between these two
families other than that they came from the same place in Sweden and as you mention they
often settled in the same area. Also Swedes, Norwegians and Danes settled in the same
area. Hope you can find out more on this Axel Carlson you mentioned.
Sven
