Hi Earl -
Sorry, I have no information about this family except for what I already sent. You should
be able to find them in the Swedish parish records fairly easily, however. There are
three main sources for viewing the parish records online, each with its own advantages:
SVAR (
http://www.svar.ra.se/) is a unit of the Swedish National Archives, and has more
recent records (after the 1890's). They also have records other than the usual birth,
marriage and death records, notably the 1890 and 1900 "census" records, and part
of the 1880 "census." They have a variety of subscription plans ranging from a
few hours to a yearly subscription.
Genline (
http://www.genline.com) is a private company which has the advantage that they
have scanned virtually all of the parish records up through the 1890's. SVAR has some
but not all of the earlier records scanned. Genline has just started to scan more recent
records, however.
Arkiv Digital (
http://www.digiarkiv.se/) has some of the earlier records scanned in color.
These images are significantly better quality, so many pages that are difficult to read
on black-and-white scans are more legible. However, their site is mainly in Swedish, so
it may be more difficult to use if you do not know the language.
With any of these services, you should check first to make sure the records you want are
available before you subscribe.
Good luck -
Mark Johnson
