Hi -
Perhaps this is him on the Emibas CD (made from extracts from the
Swedish parish records about persons who intended to emigrate):
Post 684038
Carlsson, Johan Albert
Dräng (unmarried man)
b. 9/20/1873 in Fjärås, Hallands län (Halland)
Emigrated 4/3/1891
from Höglanda, Tölö, Hallands län (Halland)
to Amerika
Source: Household Examination Roll, p. 239
Emibas migration file ID: Tölö N 1891 008
This is the same person on the Emihamn database on the Emigrant CD (made
primarily from reports to police authorities in Swedish ports of
emigration):
First name: JOH ALBERT
Last name: CARLSSON
Age: 17 Gender: M
Parish: TÖLÖ County: N
Port: GÖTEBORG
Date: 1891 04 24
Destination: NEW YORK
Fellows: NEJ
Source: 44:544:7746
Unfortunately, this only shows New York, which was probably just the
port of entry, as the destination. Also, the name is a very common one
in Sweden, so the above may be just a coincidence.
Good luck in your search -

I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather, John A. Carlson born in Sweden
9-20-1873. He came to America in/around 1890 and settled in Geneseo/Henry County area of
Illinois. He married Clara Krinjob and then after she died married Hilma Nelson. They had
a son also named John Albert Carlson (my grandfather, who is now dead). The senior Carlson
died in 1929 in Milan, IL. Thanks for any help you can give.
