Subject: CD Lookup for ship Carl A. Carlson sailed on to U.S.
I've been searching ship lists for the name of the ship my
grandfather
sailed on. In Sweden, his name was Carl Anders Carlsson, b. 07 March
1865,
in Skonberga Parish, Ostergotland county, Sweden; he got his
moving-out-letter for U.S. on 02 Oct. 1889. He was a farmhand in Drothem
parish, Ostergotland county. On a Swedish passenger list on CD
Emigranten,
he is listed as Karl And. Karlsson, age 24, leaving for U.S. on 11
Oct.
1889, listed as coming from Drothem, and had a ticket for Sanford,
Florida,
traveling alone.
There was no ship name listed in this information from another Swedish
source. I was also recently advised from Shipslist to add about two weeks
to the departure date, so that would make his departure date about 25 Oct.
1889. He most likely left Goteburg on a feeder ship to board a larger
ship
in Liverpool.
I believe I've included all the information I have. Could anyone help me?
Gratefully yours, Linda
