COLUMBIA BASIN HERALD, MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON STATE
Our dearly beloved, Brenda Marie Carlson, age 56, passed away after a brief illness on
July 15, 2007. Brenda was bom in Idaho Falls, Idaho on Aug. 8, 1950, to Vaughn and Maxine
Carlson. She is one of eight children.
Brenda loved life to the fullest. Each and everyone who came into her life was blessed by
her genuine love. Her greatest passion outside of her family and friends was her love for
books and cards. She loved to paint ceramics and put puzzles together.
For a number of years Lakeland Village was her home. In early 1980 she was given a chance
to live at Juniper Ridge Group home in Moses Lake. This was the highlight of her life. She
experienced having a job and earning her own money. In 1994 she came home to live with her
parents. The last year of her life was in Lakeridge Special Care Center in Moses Lake.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine, of Ephrata, her sister Linda Loomis of Quincy, five
brothers, Douglas, Brent, and Gregory of Bend, Ore., Ronald of Olympia, Kurt of Enumclaw,
Wash., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Vaughn, and
her sister, Gloria Harrington.
She has been deeply loved by her family and will be missed beyond words. Her love for life
and the endless love she shared with each and every one who crossed her sunny path was an
inspiration to all. Our hearts are broken by her passing but we rejoice in the privilege
of her being a part of our family. She has brought to us many memories and special times
which we will carry in our hearts forever.
Memorial services will be held at Valley View Memorial in Soap Lake at I p.m. Friday, July
20, 2007, for family and friends. Nicoles Funeral Home of Ephrata are in charge of
arrangements.
