I was told by my mother that Gus and Eva Carlson met on the ship while traveling to the
United States. But Census records are showing Gus arriving in 1885 and Eva in 1887. They
were married Aug 16 1890 in La Salle Illinois. Their first son Harry Raffel Carlson was
Born Dec 1 1890 in Ottawa La Salle Illinois which means Eva was pregnant at the time they
were married. Elmer Sidney Carlson was born Feb 7 1893 in Uitca La Salle Illinois. Third
son Arnold Alfred Carlson was born April 27 1895 in Ottawa La Salle Illinois. The fourth
son Walter H. Carlson was born Aug 21 1898 in Ottawa La Salle Illinois. All that said Gus
and Eva started a family and lived in La Salle Illinois from 1890 to at least 1898. As
their next child Easter Florance was born Oct 7 1900 Cook Illinois. Prior to her birth the
