Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado)
May 19, 1922
CARLSON-JONES--On Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock, Miss Mae Jones became the
bride of Carl J. Carlson. The wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Jones, Rev. W. D. Waller officiating. The Lohengrin wedding march was
played by Mr. H. M. Foote, and after the ring service, which was performed under an arch
of cherry blossoms, Miss Leola Williams sand "I love you truly." Miss Ruby
Jones and Mr. Wm. B. Jones attended the couple.
The ceremony was witnessed by relatives and a few intimate friends.
The bride wore a traveling suit of dark blue and carried a shower bouquet of bride's
roses.
After congratulations, refreshments were served and the happy couple departed for a trip
to Fort Doge to visit Mr. Carlson's parents. Upon their return they will make their
home in Longmont.
Mrs. Carlson received her education in the Longmont schools and has spent the past four
years in the employ of the J. C. Penney Co. store where her kind disposition and sweet
face made her attractive to a host of friends. Mr. Carlson in also an employee of the J.
C. Penney Co., having been recently returned to the Longmont store after some time in
California. He is known as a young man of high character.
Mr. and Mrs. Carlson have the best wishes of their many friends.
I believe the find-a-grave memorial for Carl is 116747396. He is tied to Betty M....which
I would think is Mae, but I would like to confirm this before adding this announcement to
Carl's memorial
