FOUND DEAD NEAR RAILROAD TRACK
The remains of Andrew Carlson was found near the Colorado & Southern Railroad track a
few miles north of Longmont last Friday. He had been an old section hand at Longmont, but
was discharged the day before. Coroner Bucheit, was sent for and came over on the first
train, but concluded it was useless to hold an inquest. The presumption was that Mr.
Carlson was trying to mount an express train and missed his footing.
There was no evidence of robbery as $18.10 was found in his pocket. He had no family of
relatives that were known.
Funeral services were held at F. R. Shaw & CO's undertaking parlors, Rev. Jas
MacLaughlin officiating.
