Hi -
I found all of this information on various Swedish CDs that I have (all of my family came
from Sweden). I have another idea about the Josefina vs. Albertina situation. Both of
the older girls have Josefina as part of their given names. It may be that their birth
mother was named Josefina, and that she died and the father remarried. Unfortunately, the
1880 "census" is not completely transcribed yet, and Göteborgs och Bohus län is
one of the areas that is not finished.
You could try to find the family in the Swedish parish records to get more information.
There are several subscription services that offer scanned images of the parish records on
the Internet:
http://www.arkivdigital.net/
http://www.genline.com/
http://www.svar.ra.se/
Coverage varies, but you can check what records are available before subscribing.
Hope this helps -
