Researcher Pat WARDELL (the.wardells(a)gte.net) has provided additional information that
Henry CARLOUGH's family can be found under the spelling "KARLOW" in New York
City on the 1870 census. She also provided Phebe's maiden name of Phebe QUACKENBUSH.
Pat WARDELL also wrote, "In 1869 he [Henry] was a grocer at 549 Hudson St., with a
residence at 106 Perry St., New York City."
I have also found Henry's granddaughter "Louis" MOORE, listed as
"Louisa" MOORE, b. ca. 1862, NY, along with her mother Emily MOORE, b. ca. 1839,
NY, and siblings Edwin, b. ca. 1860, NY; Grace, b. ca. 1864, NY; and Estell, b. ca. 1867,
NY, on the 1870 census for Ramapo, Rockland Co., NY, pg. 18, dwelling 151, family 151.
Henry T. MOORE (1837 - 1867) and his wife Emily CARLOUGH MOORE (1839 - 1922) are buried in
the Maple Grove Cemetery, Montebello, Rockland Co., NY. Re: Find A Grave
(
http://www.findagrave.com).
Can anyone identify the parents of John N. CARLOUGH (1786 - 1852) who married Catherine
FREDERICK (1788 - 1865) and was living in Ramapo, Rockland Co., NY, at the time of the
1850 census? John is believed to be somehow descended from the immigrant Coenraad
"Conrad" GERLACH/GERLAG/CARLOCK (1660 - ca. 1712) of Hackensack, Bergen Co.,
NJ.
