I think I may have some info. though more are Peter Carlough's side. I also have his
wife's name as Annie and I was able to find a census record from that time that showed
they has a boarder in their house from Italy with the last name Nesse. I'm not saying
they are related to Annie but they may be so it's worth checking. As far as
Peter's parents, they were William Carlough born abt 1843 in New Jersey and Ellen J.
but I don't know her maiden name yet. They had four boys, one was Peter. The others
were William 1865, John 1867, and Walter 1884. All of these are in U.S. Federal census
records that you can access through
ancestry.com in case you are looking. As far as his
parent William's Parents, I have another William Carlough born abt 1812 and married to
a Sally Ann in Wortendyke, New Jersey. I'm currently trying to figure out her maiden
name and find out if she was a Massaker (see my recent post to Carlough board). The
reason is that William's youngest son George i!
s my great great grandfather. So Peter's father William was the brother to George
born 1856. They also had six other siblings (Henry Carlough abt 1836, John Carlough abt
1840, Margaret Ann abt 1840, Mary abt 1846, Garret abt 1849, and Lewis abt 1850). So..
there is a lot of stuff to process but let me know if this helps.
Brgds,
Holly
