Hi friends,
Just was checking back to see if anyone had posted and if any responses to my post
(CARLON, Annie Bridget, 1901, Haydock, England) and the last post was in Oct., 2005, so I
geuss this is not too active of a name/list.
Is anyone actively researching the surname? And, what locality would you be in?
I have had little success with the research I have been doing, so I am thinking about
trying to find the basis of the surname, what (generally as exceptions are probably
common) area it is from and so on.
MY Grandmother (above) was from England, but I have a suspcion, no basis really, that she
or her family was from Ireland, and perhaps left during the famine in Ireland as many
millions did or died. If anyone has any info along these lines, or where the surname is
from/based originally in historical documents of Europe, I would greatly appreciate a
note, perhaps we can post some source info on CARLON surname.
