Dear All,
seems like I have posted half of the messages under the Carlon surname and it does not
appear to be too active as I have monitored it for several years now --- so as a last post
I am looking for CARLON ancestors whom came from the Kiltimaugh or Knock (yes, near the
shrine) Ireland, I suspect during or after the Famine or Great Hunger of 1845-50.
The Family (or Father as I do not know who survived and was able to leave, I assume a
Male) appears to have went from Ireland to Newcastle-under-Lyme, England (UK) and appears
to have lived -- I am geussing but probably around 1845-1850s or some years around then.
My Grandmother was apparently born in Newcastle under Lyme, near Stroke-on-Trent.
MY GM is then, in 1921, at age 21 or so, a small distance north in St. Helens/Haydock,
England (UK). My Grand-Mother Annie Bridget CARLON met and married John Joe Murphy there.
They had a son there, my father. They then returned to his parents in Ireland while he
went to the USA, settling in Belmont, MASS, near Boston.
Another related surname is SORENSON as her sister's Son married a women named Jennifer
(nee BLACK) and she hails from Wltshire, England (UK).
If this reings with anyone please contact me.
