Right after I posted my question, I saw that the birth date equation was so simple that
the 8870 rule wasn't needed, but thanks to all for responding--I was overwhelmed at
the desire for people to help and the referrals to online calculators. Thanks to all!
Sue, i have seen your wonderful online carlock FTM, and have tried to fill in a couple of
the blanks, including the tombstone and cemetery info in my last post.
Additional info you may want to post is: Middle initial for Job, b. 8/27/1777, is
"G," and he's buried in Nettle Carrier Creek Cemetery, Overton Co, TN (Cem.
is named for the Cherokee chief who was in charge of the Indian lands in that area.)
Also, Eliza Carlock, b. 1814, m. William R. Smith, is buried next to her husband in
Liberty Cemetery, Morgan Co, IL. Her tombstone gives her given name as
"Elizabeth," the first time I've seen this. Of course, Eliza can be a name
within itself, or a nickname for Elizabeth, which apparently it is in this case.
