Seeking ancestry of Abraham "Abram" CARLOCK (b. 1805, NJ), of Monmouth Co., NJ,
who married Ann (b. 1807, NJ) and had the following children:
1. Susan CARLOCK, b. 1832 - 1833, NJ.
2. Lydia CARLOCK, b. 1834 - 1835, NJ.
3. Martha E. CARLOCK, b. 1837, NJ; m. James Lawrence PRICE (1833 - 1910); d. 1929. Both
Martha and James are bd. In Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch, Monmouth Co., NJ.
4. Mary Jane CARLOCK, b. 1840, NJ; m. WHITE who probably d. by the time of the 1870
census. Mary was employed as a dressmaker and living with her mother, brother Abraham,
and children at the time of the 1870 census.
5. Abraham "Abram or Abe" CARLOCK, b. 1842, NJ; m. Louisa HAVENS (b. 1850, NJ);
d. 1913; bd. Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch, Monmouth Co., NJ. Abraham was employed
as a waterman in 1860, a house painter in 1870, and a brick mason in 1880.
6. Caroline CARLOCK, b. 1847, NJ.
Abraham's occupations were listed as inn keeper, 1850, and cooper, 1860. He probably
died before the time of the 1870 census.
Abraham is most likely somehow descended from the immigrant Coenraad "Conrad"
GERLACH/GERLAG/CARLOCK (1660 - ca. 1712) of Hackensack, Bergen Co., NJ.
